  1. Where do you start once you've figured out that there is so much info to go through as far as research? It is very overwhelming to say the least.

How do you know your topic isnt to broad for your research??

  4. Andrew, I don't remember what the latest version of your research topic is. I can give you more specific feedback if you tell me what your topic is at this point and what types of sources you've been finding.

Sam, you can include your opinion in your research paper, but at this point, your focus will really be more on just finding a balanced set of sources. Try not to only look for sources that back up your opinion or you'll run the risk of building an argument that could be too biased.

    Kaitlyn,
    Same comment as for Andrew.

It could be taken if one cannot find solid information on any author that that is a sign one should perhaps look else where for a better source to include in a research paper. I hope that helps.

  11. My question for the research paper is
Do college students family meals as children influence their eating habits as college student?

im finding that alot of my research tells me that college students who do not interact with their families during dinner time are most likely to be bulimic. Is this relevant to my topic? Should I use it? WOULD IT DIVERT MY WHOLE ESSAY TO TALK ABOUT BULIMIC COLLEGE STUDENTS FOR A PARAGRAPH OR TWO?

  12. i also find that my resources form a chain reaction. Once i find one thing i think i can use i have to use another source to prove i can use one of the other sources.

EXAMPLE: If i dont now much about the author through the text i have to make the source credible i have to look up another source to make sure that the author is credible and then enter that credibility resource as another source.

SORRY THIS SOUNDED CONFUSING I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY IT.

  13. i am having trouble fine tuning my research question.

  14. I am having trouble fixing up my research question because as soon as I look for information (research) I get confused on what exactly to look for so I keep changing my question, but then I don't know exactly what to argue about.

I have the same problem, but I think it's just choosing a subject that you know will have a lot of information given about it. I hope that made sense.

  17. My question for the research paper is on how disney movies effects children's views on life.

The only problem I'm having is I'm not finding enough information to write a 6 page paper.

  18. Are we writing a argumentative or analytical research paper?

@Samnism: A research paper is an expanded essay that presents your own interpretation or evaluation or argument- in other words, your opinions. However, you must make sure that it is well supported by research.
